10 lessons to start drawing the car of your dreams.

What do you gain from drawing?

How does Lois LANE find out that Clark KENT is SUPERMAN?

In this classic scene from the Superman films (Warner Bros), Lois makes the effort to observe reality with her own eyes, which she clearly had not done before. She uses drawing as a medium to turn a simple piece of information into new knowledge.

Note that she shows no exceptional talent for drawing, and that this makes no difference to the result.

In fact, her drawing approach is identical to the scientific method (observation, question, hypothesis, experiment, analysis of results, conclusion). Don’t we say, when something is obvious, “do I have to draw you a picture?” or “a picture is worth a thousand words”?

Not drawing means living alongside reality without seeing it.
